Rachel Quirbach
Director
Rachel Quirbach is a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) currently working for a mental health app. Rachel completed her undergraduate degree in Music Therapy through Arizona State University's Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, and is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling and Music Therapy at Lesley University. She has been playing the accordion for over 18 years and, in addition to serving as a Director for the NAAC, is a Board Member and Secretary for the American Accordionists' Association. Rachel actively promotes awareness of the accordion within the music therapy community by actively incorporating the instrument into her practice. She is also passionate about supporting the holistic wellbeing of musicians and music lovers through healthy, sustainable practices
Rachel has been a guest presenter for the American Accordionists' Association, American Music Therapy Association, Western Region of the American Music Therapy Association, New England Region of the American Music Therapy Association, Florida State Hospital, Community Healthlink, and Arizona State Music Therapy Student Organization. Rachel has advocated for the accordion and music therapy at the local, regional, and national level, most notably through her program Building Hope Through Music, which brought music therapy experiences into the corrections system. Rachel looks forward to innovating more music therapy experiences responsive to community needs in the years to come.
